emotional health & wellbeing service

The Service

Polaris Children’s Services are working together with Wirral Council to support children and families with their emotional health and wellbeing needs. When young people are growing up, there is sometimes lots of changes at home, at school, with friends and with family that can be difficult to deal with. We understand that it can be useful to talk to people you know about how you feel, but sometimes it may feel easier to talk to somebody else. Your support worker will listen to what you have to say without judging you and will try to help you understand your feelings and help you develop confidence in expressing yourself.

What can we do for you?

Our service will meet with you in a place you feel most comfortable and work with you to address your emotional health and wellbeing needs. We will cover topics such as mental health awareness and promoting emotional health and wellbeing to help you build your resilience, as well as any other concerns you may have about your emotional health and wellbeing.

What can we talk about?

Your support plan will be developed by you and we will work towards the goals that you want to achieve. We also offer advice and guidance to parents and carers to develop an awareness of emotional health and wellbeing needs and prevent the need for more extensive and intensive treatment for you and your family.
